Try with the latest MtoA, if you don't have that already. Open the Arnold Render View without rendering (Arnold > Open Arnold Render View), and enable View > Log > Full. I had been using this machine to render as I said for a couple months now, with n issue, rendering images at 3-4k. So I reset all preferences, deleted preferences, and restored default settings, still not working.Īt this point I have uninstalled maya and all of its components twice, and reinstalled them, and I am still having the same issue, checked all my drivers on my pc, and I am at a loss as to what could be causing this. Blank, with nothing in it, imported a couple meshes to test and again same issue. So I figured maybe it was my project, I am doing a likeness study, using xgen etc, so I started a completely new project. Generally 95% of the time, it crashes before I have even started the render, the viewer is just open. However when launching Arnold to view my render, it either crashes Maya instantly, or seems to crash Maya after a render or two. When I start maya, set projects, open files, and work it works absolutely fine. I started having this issue a couple days back after rendering in Maya 2018's Arnold for several months now, never had this issue previously.
